Qualifications: HOD Diploma in Education Management Extra-Mural Activities: Hockey History: He was born in Upington, South Africa. Both his parents came to S.A. from Holland in 1956. His primary school years were in Beaufort-West and Mossel Bay. He matriculated at Point High Mossel Bay in 1977, then studied at Graaff-Reinett Teachers College and achieved the HDE. He completed the Education Management Diploma in 1994. His first teaching post, after military service, was at Herlear Primary in Kimberley. He became deputy at West End Primary in 1989, then moved to Sedgefield in 1994 where he was principal for 5 years before moving to Knysna Primary in 1999. He was actively involved in Lions, Scout Master and Education forums as part of his service to the community.
