Knysna Primary School has a very well-stocked library and Media center. Books for the non-fiction and reference sections have over the years been carefully selected to cover all aspects of the curriculum and new titles are constantly being added. Many of the favourite series of books are being replaced as they are so well read. The 'old favourites' in the Afrikaans section such as Saartjie and Trompie have been purchased in their new more modern format and fly off the shelves.
The library also boasts a very well-stocked section for the younger learners, including a good non -fiction section.
There is a large resource section for educators covering each of the learning areas; enabling educators access to creative different ideas for presenting lessons and designing worksheets.
There are hundreds of colourful charts/posters for use in the classrooms, as well as videos, cd's, dvd's and magazines.
There are two television sets which are used for class viewing and three computers (linked to the Internet) are available for learners to use for research purposes. The library has recently acquired a new administrative computer programme and the library staff are currently receiving training.
